HP fuming at Inventec blunders

February 22, 2016

U.S. based vendor Hewlett-Packard (HP) is expected to cease its co-operation with Inventec Appliances after a series of blunders by the Taiwan-based handset maker.

Inventec repeatedly delayed shipments of the iPAQ 600-series smartphone. When the devices were finally shipped, HP tests found that it was faulty.

As a result of the delays, HP has decided to cancel the release of the iPAQ 600 in the U.S. The iPAQ 600 will still be launched in the UK in the near future.

The release of the iPAQ series, which was Inventec’s first ever set of 3.5G handsets, has been further delayed by the devices failing to pass tests carried out by HP.
